Chapter 6 Response

I would like to work in a classroom with more technology. New technology is apart of our everyday lives and you can barely escape it. These technologies in the classroom would enable the children to learn more about the real world and the technology they will have to work with when they enter the job market. On the other hand, working with more of these technologies like digital cameras, scanners and graphic tablets could cause a major distraction to the children at times. These technologies help enhance learning but if used wrongly the technologies can prevent the child from learning at all. For example, having a less restrictive internet access in the classroom lets the student research through all different databases but also gives them the option to surf the internet to play games. Having varying and new technology at the fingertips of the students is both a blessing and a curse.
